i made this up for my aunt's christmas present, yeah it's in poopoo brown lol. its really easy and uses a lot of repetitive "plus one" rounds... i just wish the picture was better!i used an aluminum hook size H (US), and approximately 3-4 oz. of poopoo brown (it came from an 8oz skein of LeeWards "soft n' carefree" which i think is way super discontinued)
*Note- do NOT count ch1 at beginning of rounds as 1st sc.
Instructions:
ch 2.
Round 1: (sc in 2nd ch from hook) 7 times. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7sc)
Round 2: ch1, sc in same st as joining. (fpdc, sc into top of same st as fpdc) in next, around. ending with fpdc in last st. (7 fpdc, 7 sc)
Round 3: ch1, 2sc in same st as joining. fpdc in fpdc below. (from now on leave the stitch behind the fpdc's alone, unworked.) *2sc in next st, fpdc in fpdc* Repeat from *to* around. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 14 sc)
Round 4: ch1, sc in same st as joining. *2sc in next sc, fpdc in fpdc, sc in next sc* Repeat from *to* around, ending with fpdc in last fpdc. join with sl st to top of 1st sc (7fpdc, 21 sc)
Round 5: ch1, sc in same st as joining and in next sc. 2 sc in next. fpdc in fpdc. *sc in each of next 2 sc, 2sc in next. fpdc in fpdc* Repeat from *to* around. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 28 sc)
Round 6: ch1, sc in same st as joining and in next 2 sc. 2sc in next, fpdc in fpdc. *sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next. fpdc in fpdc* Repeat from *to* around. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 35 sc)
Round 7: ch1, sc in same st as joining and in each of next 3 sc. 2sc in next, fpdc in fpdc. *sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next. fpdc in fpdc* Repeat from *to* around. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 42 sc)
Round 8: ch1, sc in same st as joining and in each of next 4 sc. 2 sc in next, fpdc in fpdc. *sc in each of next 5 sc, 2sc in next. fpdc in fpdc* Repeat from *to* around. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 49 sc)
Round 9: ch1, sc in same st as joining and in each of next 5 sc. 2 sc in next, fpdc in fpdc. *sc in each of next 6 sc, 2 sc in next. fpdc in fpdc* Repeat from *to* around. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 56 sc)
Round 10: ch1, sc in same st as joining and in each of next 6 sc. 2 sc in next, fpdc in fpdc. *sc in each of next 7 sc, 2 sc in next. fpdc in fpdc* Repeat from *to* around. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 63 sc)
Round 11: ch1, sc in same st as joining and in each of next 7 sc. 2 sc in next, fpdc in fpdc. *sc in each of next 8 sc, 2 sc in next. fpdc in fpdc* Repeat from *to* around. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 70 sc)
Round 12: ch1, sc in same st as joining and in each of next 8 sc. 2sc in next, fpdc in fpdc. *sc in each of next 9 sc, 2 sc in next. fpdc in fpdc* Repeat from *to* arounf. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 77 sc)
Round 13: ch1, sc in same st as joining. sc in each sc, fpdc in each fpdc around. join with sl st to top of 1st sc. (7 fpdc, 77 sc)
Rounds 14-28: Repeat Round 13
Brim:
Row 1: ch3, dc in each of next 28 sts. (29 dc)
Row 2: ch3, turn. alternate fpdc's and dc's across, making dc dec over last 2 sts. (27 sts)
Row 3: ch1, make sc dec over 1st 2 sts. sc dec over next 2 sts, sc in each of next 9 sts. make sc dec over next 3 sts, sc in each of next 9 sts. sc dec over last 2 sts. Fasten off, weave in ends. (22 sts)
